Give Help- updated 6/2022

There are many ways for you to lend a helping hand with our programs. But please note the BIG changes listed below:

Volunteering: We need volunteers in July to help us at Centennial Park during the hours of 7 - 9am, 11am - 1pm and 4 - 6pm. Please contact

Until further notice other volunteer opportunities are limited to at-home pantry pack builds for The Children’s Lunchbox. Or you can do your own food drive! We need the food items more than we need the assembled in boxes.

Email for details and instructions, or download The Children's Lunchbox Pantry Pack Guide here.

Monetary donations can be made securely online as a one-time or recurring gift, or mailed to 1020 E. 4th Avenue, Anchorage, AK 99501. Please do not send mail to any other address. We also have a Donate button on our Facebook page.

All food items should now be dropped off at our Administration building Monday- Friday, 9am - 4pm. We are no longer accepting food donations at 1101 E. 3rd Avenue. Please note, the drop off location is best accessed off 5th Avenue, as we are adjacent to Lucky Wishbone and our donation door is across the alley from Van's Dive Bar, next to Lucky Wishbone. We are the two-story grey and maroon building and there is a doorbell you can ring on arrival. You may also call 907.433.8601 for assistance. If you require special arrangements please email

Food Donations- Currently limited to non-perishable items as of December 2021

What we can accept

  • Canned Goods
  • Food prepared in a commercial kitchen
  • Fresh Fruits & Vegetables
  • Pre-packaged food items purchased at the store
  • Whole or unprocessed meats

For example, moose roast but not moose sausage, unless it is professionally processed. Whole salmon but not smoked or canned, unless done professionally.

What we cannot accept:

  • Home-made food items- all donated items MUST be prepared in a commercial kitchen with proper licensing
  • Expired foods
  • Opened food items (such as a box of cookies that may not have been fully eaten)
  • Left-over food items (such as remaining food from a conference or barbecue).
  • Spoiled food items
  • Our priority is safety and health of the individuals who will consume the food we prepare with love and compassion.

See notes above about meat products.

If you have any further questions about what we can or cannot accept, please call the Program Manager for the program you wish to donate to. Click here to review our Third-Party Fundraiser Guidelines.
