Give Help

There are many ways for you to lend a helping hand with our programs:

Volunteering: Current volunteer opportunities are limited to at-home BREAKFAST pantry pack builds for The Children’s Lunchbox. Or you can do your own food drive! Email for details and instructions.

Monetary donations can be made securely online as a one-time or recurring gift, or mailed to 1020 E. 4th Avenue, Anchorage, AK 99501. Please do not send mail to our 3rd Avenue address. We also have a Donate button on our Facebook page.

We are accepting food donations for Bean’s Cafe AND The Children’s Lunchbox every day, between 9 am – 4 pm at 1101 E. 3rd Avenue.

Our high priority items are fresh produce and proteins (eggs, meat, milk, items for baking, and snacks for serving at the Sullivan Arena shelter). Please note- snacks for the shelter must be nut-free due to allergies.

Our greatest need for The Children’s Lunchbox are breakfast items for pantry packs. This includes shelf stable cartons of milk, small boxes of cereal, dehydrated eggs, dehydrated hash browns, etc. Pantry packs are designed to be shelf stable (they are given out in multiples) and feed a family of four (4). We also need snack items (fruit cups for example) that do not contain fish or nuts. We also use these snacks at the shelter, so they go a long way and are in high demand.

Our greatest food needs for Bean’s Cafe are proteins and snack items (no nuts, no fish):

  • Ground Sausage
  • Sausage Links
  • Beef Roast
  • Pork Roast
  • Ground Beef
  • Sandwich Meat Turkey, Chicken, Ham or Roast Beef
  • Vegetable Frozen or Fresh
  • Onions

Please note we have discontinued the distribution of Beanie Boxes. Our highest priority items for 2021 and into 2022 are food and the funds to purchase food. Thank you for understanding.
