Under direct report of the Chief Operating Officer, this position provides comprehensive support and leadership to the Food Service Department to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality operations across all kitchen and food service administrative functions. This position is responsible for overseeing day to day kitchen operations, managing staff, participants, volunteers and supporting financial and administrative processes, and ensuring compliance with safety, sanitation and program standards. The role exercises independent judgment in operational and financial matters and contributes to training, scheduling and overall departmental efficiency.

 To qualify for this role, you must have 3-5 years' experience in kitchen management or in a similar job position. Bean's Cafe is seeking an experienced and motivated Food Service Manager to oversee all kitchen, catering, and food service operations, ensuring exceptional quality, safety, and service. This role involves managing staff performance, supervising food preparation and service, and maintaining compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills, while promoting teamwork and a positive, productive work environment. Responsibilities include menu execution, large-scale batch cooking, catering coordination, inventory and equipment management, scheduling, and assisting with recruitment and training. The Kitchen Manager will also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to plan and execute catering events that meet timelines, budgets, and presentation standards.

Candidates must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed and must consistently uphold the organization’s mission and vision through excellent service, attention to detail, and professionalism.
