Motley Crew Bakery, a program of Bean's Cafe:
The Motley Crew Bakery is the first of Bean's Cafe social enterprise programs. The Bakery started as a training ground for aspiring bakers and individuals looking for a second chance in life and potentially a first "real" job. It has now blossomed to a team of 8 and regular attendance at weekend markets.
With a focus on feeding individuals, Bean's Cafe takes things one step further and recognizes the bond that creating and sharing the art of food creates. It promotes mutual understanding, teamwork and brings about a sense of pride and accomplishment not otherwise felt. Tie this together with the ability to market these items, in turn funding programs for Bean's Cafe, and you have a perfect recipe.
Although we are best known for our fresh breads and chocolate chip cookies, we also make rolls, hamburger buns, muffins, scones, and soon- DONUTS!
We hope you will taste the enthusiasm and passion we put into each one of our baked goods and will share them with everyone. All while knowing you are helping individuals on that pathway to self-sufficiency.
Orders should be picked up at 1524 Ship Avenue between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm.

Motley Crew Catering:
Motley Crew Catering provides a supportive environment for individuals to receive on-the-job training in conjunction with Bean’s Cafe Streets to Success program and its wraparound services. Empowering individuals to undertake what is often their first “real” job, this successful program has developed into a pipeline, creating strong leaders who, in turn, mentor others and can confidently proclaim, “I’ve been where you are, and I know you can do it.”
All catering proceeds directly house, feed, and clothe our catering students who are rebuilding their lives in our Bean’s Cafe kitchen. Our program is free of charge and through their own efforts, our students become self-sufficient. We are funded fully by our own hard work.

We do not offer online ordering or payment for catering, but Audri and staff are on hand to assist you with your order.

Motley Crew Bakery in the Community:
Saturday September 23 and 30, and October 7 we will have a booth at the Midtown Farmers market.
Between 9am and 2 pm come see us at 900 E Benson Blvd and load up on must have baked goods 🙂
